What is ENBREL?

ENBREL (etanercept) is a medication for treating people with moderate to severe forms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). It is also for adults with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, and children with severe psoriasis. In patients with inflammatory arthritis, ENBREL may be effective in reducing signs and symptoms of inflammatory arthritis such as pain, morning stiffness and fatigue, and may help improve your ability to do simple daily activities such as dressing, walking and climbing stairs. ENBREL may also help prevent damage to your bones and joints. In patients with psoriatic skin conditions, ENBREL may be effective in clearing skin and improving quality of life, such as personal relationships, work and daily activities, and treatment satisfaction.
