Dosing Options:

Either once-weekly or twice-weekly dosing available

If you have rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), or ankylosing spondylitis (AS), the recommended dose of ENBREL for adults is 50 mg per week.

Talk to your doctor about which of the following dosing regimens is right for you:

  • One injection, taken once per week using the ENBREL 50 mg single-use SureClick Autoinjector or the ENBREL 50 mg single-use prefilled syringe.
  • or
  • Two 25 mg injections, taken on the same day, once per week, using multiple-use lyophilized powder vials containing 25 mg of ENBREL per vial.
  • or
  • Two 25 mg injections, taken on two different days (3 or 4 days apart), in the same week, using multiple-use lyophilized powder vials containing 25 mg of ENBREL per vial.

If you have psoriasis, the recommended starting dose of ENBREL for adult patients is a 50 mg dose twice per week (3 or 4 days apart) for 3 months. After 3 months your doctor will tell you to reduce your dose to 50 mg once per week, using one 50 mg SureClick Autoinjector, or one 50 mg single-use prefilled syringe, or two multiple-use lyophilized powder vials containing 25 mg of ENBREL per vial. The 50 mg dose of ENBREL can be given as one injection using one 50 mg ENBREL SureClick Autoinjector or one 50 mg ENBREL prefilled syringe or as two injections using the multiple-use lyophilized powder vials containing 25 mg of ENBREL per vial.

The recommended dose of ENBREL for children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis or psoriasis is based on the child’s body weight. Your child’s doctor will tell you the correct amount of ENBREL your child should take and whether the dose should be given as one or two injections. Your child's doctor will also tell you whether the injection or injections should be given on the same day once a week or on two different days (3 or 4 days apart) in the same week. ENBREL should be given by, or under the supervision of, a responsible adult. The 50 mg single-use prefilled syringe is only recommended for children weighing 63 kg (138 pounds) pounds or more.
